We are looking for a special kind of person – a Calvary kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do. As a Maintenance Volunteer at Calvary Flora McDonald, Cowandilla you’ll be part of an experienced, engaged and dedicated team, supporting residents to keep happy by providing them with exceptional service. Our Maintenance team would like to some support from interested people who can assist with odd maintenance jobs across the site and be a general support behind the scenes. Tasks vary from re fresh room, wall repairs, equipment maintenance, bed movements. You would be working with the maintenance Officers directly and always supported in tasks and supplies. Reliability and commitment is required to share agreed days/time weekly to support the team. You will need to be comfortable with residents in care. This role operates within standard business hours - Monday to Friday. The position would best suit those with patience, empathy, and a passion for positive ageing. Any training required will be provided, with ongoing support. All volunteers require a police clearance (paid for by employer) for the purposes of Aged Care, which will be facilitated by Calvary, and evidence of vaccination against influenza and Covid.
