Volunteering at an RSPCA Op Shop is a fantastic way to help animals in need, develop your customer service skills, connect with the community, and meet new friends and fellow animal lovers!

As an Op Shop volunteer, you’ll benefit from:

No two days are the same!

Duties include:

  • Serving and assisting customers
  • Receiving, sorting and pricing donated goods
  • Displaying and rotating goods for sale in the store
  • Performing cash and Eftpos sales

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • to be at least 18 years of age
  • great customer service skills
  • the ability to work in a team
  • basic mathematical skills
  • effective communication skills
  • manual handling (up to 15kg)
  • a great sense of humour!

RSPCA Victoria is a community-based charity that works to prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection. We operate Animal Care Centers across Victoria, providing refuge, care and new homes to more than 17,000 animals every year.

As a not-for-profit organisation, we rely on volunteers and community support to carry out our work. The RSPCA Victoria Op-Shops provide critical funding that enables our work to continue.
