Relationships: This position reports to the Head of Fundraising and collaborates with grants, sponsorship, fundraising, finance, and marketing teams Availability: Self-directed work, volunteers must work to meet deadlines. About the Role

The Partnerships Officer will join a newly created team under the direction of the Head of Fundraising. Responsible for creation, management, and maintenance of our corporate partnerships, this role is a mix of sales, marketing, and relationship management. The Partnerships Officer role is shared amongst a team of volunteers up to 5 at any time to maintain that work/life balance.

To thrive in this team you must have experience or training in partnerships, business development management, fundraising, marketing, sales, or similar. Depending on your skill level, you may perform one or more of the duties listed below during your time with us.

Job Description

  • Contribute to the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the corporate partnership program
  • Generate funds from the private sector to meet income targets
  • Protect Corethics reputation for independence and fairness, in line with our ethical fundraising policy
  • Write high quality external communications documents, include monthly update emails to corporate partners and supporters, new business proposals, partnership contracts, and other marketing materials as required
  • Provide high standards of relationship management to corporate partners to ensure outstanding experience, as result organisations continue to support our work
  • Identify potential new sources of corporate funding and secure new business development meetings with potential partners
  • Build strong relationships with potential future partners, ensure meetings are followed up on and opportunities to secure new support are maximised
  • Deliver administration of program including timely invoice raising and preparing partnership agreements where needed
  • Ensure approaches to corporate sector are tracked consistently, effective use of CRM system or tracking spreadsheets

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with corporate fundraising, giving, or events whether as an employee of or from charity sector
  • Demonstrated ability to create, manage, and maintain corporate relationships
  • Success in securing income, through new business development, researching and approaching new prospects and following up on leads
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills at all levels with tact and assertiveness
  • Ability to tackle challenges constructively, and find create ways forward
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Highly developed influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Very well organised
  • Attention to detail and ability to ensure all outputs are of the highest quality

Desirable skills and qualifications

  • Familiarity with charity sector, international development, and Indonesia
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, business or related field
  • Management or leadership qualifications
  • 3 - 5 years experience in business development
