ECKA
Enriching children’s lives through learning
ECKA believes that the lives of children can be transformed through education. We know that early childhood development drives success in school, health, career, and life. High quality early childhood education can deliver long-term benefits that extend into adulthood.
About Us
Since 2003, ECKA has provided early childhood education in Ballarat and across Central Victoria. Employing over 120 staff, we work with state & local government, other not for profits, to deliver quality and accessible early learning to children and rural and regional communities with a commitment to those who are most vulnerable.
Board Member Role
The ECKA Board is seeking to recruit Board Members who can bring expertise to the Board as it fulfils its responsibilities in strategic direction-setting, oversight, and governance in either:
- Communications / Marketing and/or Community engagement
- Business Systems
- Management/Leadership Experience in Early Childhood or Human Services
Expressions of interest from individuals with previous Board experience and/or who would be interested in being supported to take on a Chair or Deputy Chair role in the next 18 months are particularly encouraged. Board meetings are held via video conferencing and in person. At ECKA, we believe that diversity in cultural backgrounds, experience, qualifications, thinking style and the ability to work collaboratively are critical. We welcome expressions of interest from individuals who can bring relevant expertise and personal attributes to help ECKA support the children of our region.
