Established in 2019 by our Founder Jodie Hollis, Cancer Support Angels is a 100% volunteer-run organisation focused on supporting cancer patients and their families. We do this through the provision of care packages, facilitating support groups and providing financial support to those in need.

The opportunity:

Due to continual growth within the organisation, we are looking for a Community Volunteer Lead to join our team. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Committing to 4 Bunnings BBQ a year;

  • Committing to other fundraising events throughout the year and speaking to different corporate organisations to help promote Cancer Support Angels and to grow and build our profile within the community.

  • Being the first point of contact with our community volunteers

  • Working with our Bunnings BBQ coordinator to coordinate volunteer’s roster and availabilities for community events and

  • Helping sell our Cancer Support Angels merchandise at community events.

What we’re looking for:

The successful candidate(s) will demonstrate:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Strong coordinating and administration skills

This role is an unpaid volunteer opportunity and can be worked around your lifestyle and existing commitments. We do ask that volunteers are able to commit to a timeframe of at least 6 months in the role – although we hope that you’ll want to stay with us for much longer!
