Allergy Life Australia supports, enhances and advocates for the lives and lifestyles of those living with Allergies in Australia.

Our initiatives are set up to be reliable and ongoing resources for those in the community with Allergies. They are set up at no cost for those who need them, and our mission is to continue supporting the community with these initiatives that they can always rely upon.

All our initiatives are free to join and free to use; with your support, they can grow even further and help more Australians living with allergies.

THE ROLE

We are looking for expressions of interest for a Client Services Officer to work alongside and support our team in helping to grow our digital platform initiatives that help people with Allergies. These initiatives include helping our community discover allergy friendly food or drink venues & find health care providers that offer services for their allergies

The role will involve the following:

  • Researching organisations that support Australians with allergies
  • Contacting and emailing them to join the initiatives
  • Answer questions via email to assist new and existing clients in joining the platforms
  • Documentation and reporting
  • Additional tasks will also be required based on requirements at the time, such as working on the digital platforms themselves to add and support clients

Additionally:

  • Mentoring and guidance by industry professionals will be provided as required
  • The position is remote-based, 16 hours per week, 2-days per week for 2-3 months
  • You will need to use your own computer. A dedicated Allergy Life Australia email will be provided to you to use.

ABOUT YOU

  • You have allergies, live closely with someone that does or are passionate about helping people with allergies.
  • You have good attention to detail, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • You are fluent in English and can work autonomously and as part of a team
  • You are tech-savvy and have experience using emails and communicating using different formats and styles (Gmail, Outlook, etc)
  • You are professional and understand how to communicate and manage queries in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • You are looking for opportunities to learn and grow
  • You want to make a difference

WHY VOLUNTEER WITH US You can make a real impact for those living with allergies in Australia, working with some of the most forward working solutions for them by a leading organisation. You will also receive training and support, especially if this is your first role. All volunteers will receive a certificate after their completion period, and they will be provided with a referral letter for any other positions they apply for.
