Community Services VolunteerWesley Mission
The Wesley Mission Newcastle Community Hub is actively recruiting Client Support Volunteers. This position is perfectly suited to Community Services students or those with some experience in customer service or supporting people in need. As a Client Support Volunteer, you will be part of the Client Support Team and will support the delivery of services to clients and community members, including Wesley Mission programs, external partners and the local community.
A Client Support Volunteer role includes:
- greeting clients
- hearing, understanding and assessing the client's needs
- developing a quick rapport and relationships by being welcoming and engaging
- becoming a wealth of knowledge of services in our community
This position will give volunteers broad insight and experience working in the Community Services Sector. It will support you on your career journey and look great on your resume. You will need to have, or be willing to learn, computer skills, active listening and professional communication. We offer in house training, supervision and HUGE support to help you be confident and thrive in your role.
