Calling all cooks and foodies in Healesville
If you’re interested in sharing you love of food with older people, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for Volunteers who can support older people with their goals around staying independent, healthy and connected to their community.
We are currently looking for a new volunteer cook/kitchen hand at our Healesville AgeWell Centre. You will prepare a morning tea and home cooked meal for a group of around 10 people. During your shift, you will also tidy and maintain the kitchen area.
This role is a great opportunity to be a part of our Centres lively, fun, and sociable environment working alongside other volunteers and staff members. It’s a great and unique opportunity for someone with a passion for food!
This opportunity generally starts at 9am and finishes at 2pm on a weekday, although we can be flexible to accommodate your needs. We can also provide support with food safety training if required.
We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.
