The Abbey Museum is looking for volunteers who have skills in building who have a few spare hours each week to help with our annual Medieval Festival and other public programs.

The Museum has an active annual program and our props are an important part of providing quality and engaging experience.

Repairing floors and damaged infrastructure on our festival grounds. Making furniture for the museum or office or festival use. Replacing market stalls.

This position would suit a Carpenter or a retired builder.

We are looking for volunteers who have the ability to work on your own or as a team member, to be practical and careful, have woodworking, painting and maintenance skills and who are willing to seek advice and guidance from Administration or Education Manager when needed.

Our volunteers are occasionally asked to help out with other jobs, especially around the time of the annual Medieval Festival. The Abbey Museum provides woodworking and craft tools, equipment and materials.
