We’re looking for a friendly person who would love to brighten the day of a gentleman in Blacksmiths, Lake Macquarie. Our client is a former Surf Lifesaver who can no longer get out and about and would like some company and enjoy a visitor for a cuppa and a chat.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) is an Australian Government funded initiative established to promote links between elderly people and their local community. HammondCare is an approved provider of ACVVS.
