Open House is a small Christian charity organisation that has been serving the community for over 50 years. As a not for profit organisation, we depend on volunteers to help us in the delivery of our services. We seek volunteers who are caring, friendly and committed to our mission of giving long-term friendship and support to young people and adults in our community, particularly those who are disadvantaged or socially isolated.

The Program

Our Clubwork Program is a friendship group, providing support and activities for older adults who are lonely, disadvantaged, or have special needs. Our staff and volunteers work together to provide enjoyable activities that may include cooking, craft, outings, singing, music, workshops, and conversations—all in addition to doing home and hospital visitations and follow-up phone calls to ensure the well-being of all participants.

The Position

We are looking for an experienced and confident Driver to assist us with the transportation of participants to and from our Clubwork Program.

For some people coming Open House is their only social interaction during the week, so this is a crucial community service, and our amazing volunteers are truly at the heart of making this possible.
