The Mission Australia Centre - affectionately known as the MAC - provides services for those wanting to break the cycle of homelessness.

Located in the inner Sydney suburb of Surry Hills, the MAC provides accommodation and intensive case support for men facing homelessness. It also provides a wide range of on-site allied health, wellbeing and educational services.

The MAC counselling program is one of these important services. It provides free, professional one-on-one counselling to the men living at the MAC. For many men, it is an important part of their journey at, and beyond the MAC.

The counselling program consists of a team of volunteer counsellors, a program coordinator, and an external supervisor. Monthly group supervision is provided, as is insurance and access to professional training relevant to counselling/therapy is provided. There are also opportunities to access broader training provided to the MAC team.
