Community Care - Friendly Visiting Volunteer
Westmont Aged Care LtdAssisting with the delivery of the Friendly Visiting Program, volunteers support clients with a social chat and friendship to ensure they are safe and connected while living at home.
- Contact the client to confirm the scheduled visit
- Visit the client in their home for one hour weekly or fortnightly for social contact and friendship
- Ensure caring and courteous communication with the client regarding their health and wellbeing and enhance their social connection
- Report any incidents in relation to the client’s health, welfare or wellbeing to Westmont staff
- Maintain confidentiality of information obtained during the visit unless this information must be disclosed to Westmont to assist the client
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of the visit to the client
- Notify Westmont in advance if unable to make arranged visit to the client
