MS Plus is Federal Government Health Department-funded to provide a volunteer visiting program - the Community Visitors Scheme to alleviate loneliness for older people experiencing social isolation. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship. Would you like to visit an older person in an Aged Care Home and make a real difference in their life? Have you got some time and conversation to share to reduce loneliness? This is a wonderfully rewarding volunteer role. Virtual visits (phone calls, letters, emails) are vital and help continue connections during periods of visiting restrictions. MS believes in a person-centered approach and aspire to match people with shared interests and hobbies.
