Pain Link Support Helpline

Chronic Pain Australia Ltd
Logo for Chronic Pain Australia Ltd

Pain Link is a peer-to-peer service, and guides must have personal lived experience with chronic pain. This is a community service; this role requires a special person that has true empathy and can respond to the intense nature of some calls with more than well-being buzz words.

Callers may be experiencing intense and desperate feelings when they contact APMA, and/or seeking support, information, and resources to help manage pain and life issues. Through an ongoing program of coaching you will be personally supported in your role to deliver the service.

Ideally, we would like applicants to be Brisbane-based, however, for the right applicant we would be open to candidates from other states. Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders, and rural and remote candidates based in Queensland are encouraged to apply.

We also welcome third year or final year University students, studying Counselling or Psychology services, to apply. Volunteers are supported by our EAP service partnership with ACAP Psychology Clinic.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
