Volunteers must be confident to drive either the Blue Care minibus or the pool sedan, both of which require a current C class driver licence and a clean driving history.

Tasks involved include: • Checking the list of clients to be transported and planning the route to be taken • Performing the required vehicle safety check prior to departure • Welcoming passengers on board • Assisting staff to ensure the vehicles are cleaned • Reporting any concerns

The Blue Care service at Coopers Plains is a Memory Support Centre which provides daily activities and outings for people living with dementia and has different spaces for a range of activities including a wonderful garden and outdoor area.

The team is committed to making every day special for the people in our care and this volunteer role will assist our clients to engage in their community through being provided with transport to attend the Centre.
