Volunteer Donation Sorter – Petersham Warehouse

The Ted Noffs Foundation is a nationwide Not For Profit Charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged young people through programs such as emergency housing, safe spaces, counselling, and drug and alcohol services. One of the main ways we fund these vital programs is through our Noffs Op Shops and it all begins in our distribution warehouse.
Our Petersham warehouse is the heart of our operations, where generous donations are received, sorted, and distributed to our network of stores across Sydney. We’re currently looking for dedicated volunteers to help us sort through donations.
About the role As a Donation Sorter, you’ll help go through donated items and organise them into categories such as sellable and unsellable goods. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands on work, being part of a team, and making a difference behind the scenes.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Sorting donated clothing, accessories, bric a brac, toys and shoes
- Checking items to ensure they meet quality and condition standards
- Organising sorted goods for distribution to our Op Shops
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment
What you’ll gain:
- The satisfaction of knowing your work directly supports young people across Australia
- A chance to be part of a positive, supportive team environment
- Contribute to sustainability by giving pre-loved items a second life
- A Certificate of Appreciation (available on request) that can be used for references or volunteer recognition
By volunteering at our Petersham warehouse, you’ll be making a tangible difference, helping raise vital funds for Noffs Foundation programs while keeping tonnes of clothing out of landfill.
If you’re organised, enjoy hands on tasks and want to give back to the community, we’d love to have you join our Petersham team!
