###Purpose of Role

To positively represent The Sewing Lair and contribute to public confidence in the Charity.

###Responsibilities

Our Volunteer Retail Assistants have a variety of duties:

• Serving and engaging with op-shop customers
• Sorting, pricing, and the presentation of stock
• Operating a cash register
• Cash handling and EFTPOS processing
• General duties around op-shop such as tidying stock
• Light housekeeping/cleaning duties
• Other duties as directed by the Shift Leader

You have:

• A desire to make a difference in our world and be part of a team who share this value
• Good communication skills
• A friendly, accepting and approachable countenance
• The ability to self-manage your workload when overall direction is provided
• Fabric/ Yarn/ Craft knowledge not required, however willingness to learn is important and prior knowledge is very welcomed
