Social Support Volunteer | DLF Volunteer

The Digital Literacy Foundation (DLF) provides social support across the Nepean area to improve social inclusion and assist older adults to remain independent.
We are looking for kind, caring, and dedicated volunteers who would like to commit to working with older adults to provide Social Support, services under the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP). Activities you may engage in include:
• Accompanied activities (shopping, doctor’s appointment, etc – please note that the Foundation cannot arrange transport).
• Assistance for social interactions (in-person or online).
• Cultural support.
• Assistance to maintain personal affairs (service identification and linkage).
• Visiting services.
We provide you with onboarding and guidance, training, and will match you with a suitable client and other volunteers so that you gain valuable customer relationship experience.
There’s no waiting to see your impact – it’s obvious from the outset.
What we do is a really uplifting and amazing experience!
