Honorary Treasurer

• Oversight, together with the Board, of a sound CCL financial position. • Support the CEO to ensure that CCL is compliant with all financial and tax regulations related to its purpose and charitable status • Support the CEO & team with oversight of the outsourced monthly accounting process & preparation of Treasurer Board report to inform the Board of financial position • Oversight of outsourced year end process and liaison with auditors for Board approved annual financial statement audit • Key contact for both accounting support & audit team relationships • Work with CEO & Chairperson to develop annual Budget for Board approval • Work with the Chairperson and CEO as need, providing financial input and modelling of new projects. • Has overview of CCL's bank, financial & IT systems and makes recommendations for improvements where needed • As required from time to time support the daily function of the organisation.

Requirements

• Experienced Financial leadership in senior role (CFO/Director level) • Experienced reporting to or working on a Board or prior Directorship well regarded • Knowledge of IT systems • Willingness to work hands on and able to commit on average 1 day per week if needed supporting CCL's business • Knowledge of regulation of charitable bodies and community housing sector well regarded • Demonstrated commitment to community service and/or not for profit sector *Please note: *It’s important that organisations continue to monitor and follow the advice and guidelines of both State or Territory, and Federal Governments in relation to the latest COVID-19 requirements. *As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance). *Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
