In 2023 Suncoast Spinners will host a 3 day Wheelchair basketball tournament catering to B, A and Premier Grade competition at Caloundra Stadium. The Suncoast Spinners annual wheelchair basketball tournament is a unique event with rewarding experiences for our volunteers. The competition brings together beginners through to Australia's elite athletes while providing a supportive social event for people with disability. The community atmosphere of the event has seen the tournament become the largest participated wheelchair basketball event in Australia. The Tournament committee work hard to keep costs at a minimum providing affordable sporting opportunities for participants. To achieve this, Suncoast Spinners relies on volunteers to staff many roles including Score Bench.

Score Bench duties require focus on the game and attention to the referee calls. Games will be played each hour on the hour across 4 courts. A minimum of 2 Score Bench staff are required for each game. Volunteers new to scoring bench duties will be going on the B grade games where games are slower and less rules apply.

Volunteers are welcome to come and volunteer for a few hours, days or the entire 3 day event.

Volunteers will receive meal vouchers to the Lions run BBQ on site.
