At Little Dreamers, we're on a mission to improve the lives of Young Carers across Australia, and we need your help to make that happen!

Our Vision? By 2030, we want every Young Carer around the world to have the support they need. It’s a bold goal, and we’re ready to make it happen – but we can’t do it alone!

School holidays can be tough for families, especially for parents with health challenges or children who are caregivers themselves. Our Holiday Program gives Young Carers the chance to take a well-earned break and just be a kid. That’s where you come in!

We’re looking for energetic, fun-loving volunteers to join us for our Holiday Program and respite camps! These camps are packed with exciting outdoor adventures like kayaking, archery, climbing, paddleboarding, and swimming – all while giving back to the community and supporting incredible Young Carers.

Did we mention our camps are completely free for volunteers? Yup, you’ll get an epic overnight stay with all food provided!

What’s the Volunteer Role Like? As a volunteer, you'll get to hang out with awesome Young Carers, participate in cool activities, and help make sure the day runs smoothly.

Your tasks will include:

• Assisting Little Dreamers staff with organizing and supporting the kids throughout the day
• Helping with activities and games (trust us, it’s way more fun than it sounds!)
• Pitching in with setup and cleanup (teamwork makes the dream work!)

Commitment:

• Dates: Wednesday 16th April to Thursday 17th April 2025
• Opportunity for ongoing volunteer positions!
• Get placed on our volunteer database and be contacted for future holiday programs or events.
• FYI: Many workplaces offer volunteering leave with enough notice if you're working full-time.

What You Need to Join Us:

• An interview with a Little Dreamers staff member
• A valid Working with Children Check (we can guide you on this!)
• Stay in touch with the team and your assigned Young Carers – we like to keep the good vibes flowing!

Reliable & Committed: We need volunteers who can be counted on to show up and help out.

Great Communicator: You’ll be interacting with kids, so being friendly and approachable is a must.

Ethical & Responsible: We need volunteers who understand how to interact with vulnerable people and know when to ask for guidance.
