If you’re interested in connecting with older people who are socially isolated, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for Volunteers who can support older people with their goals around staying independent, healthy and connected to their community. Eleni describes herself as has social, community minded, thoughtful, engaging with a good sense of humour. Eleni enjoys sharing in conversation, going for walks, going to the cinema, seeing live theatre and going out for lunch or a coffee. If you would like to share in some of these interests and activities with Eleni get in touch with us today! Connecting with Eleni may involve visiting her at home, having a chat over the phone, meeting up for a coffee and/or sharing a skill. It might involve checking out what’s on offer at a local neighbourhood centre, library or an activity of interest. We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. As a Uniting Age Well Volunteer you’ll be able to access our online learning library with over 200 courses on offer. Good communications skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.
