Some of the available volunteer roles on event day include:
• Transition assistants – Transition marshals ensure athletes use the correct entry and exits for coming into and leaving transition areas.
• Swim start/finish marshalling – assist event staff at the race start by grouping athletes into age group and categories ready for the start.
• Course marshalling - assist the general public to cross the course safely at designated crossing points, ensuring the safety of athletes and pedestrians.
• recovery assistants – working directly with athletes after the race, you may be asked to direct athletes to recovery, medical or massage, or remove timing chips.
