The Salvation Army AustraliaA core value of the Salvation Army is to support the basic needs of individuals and communities. This volunteer role supports the Officer and any Food Services Team Leader/Coordinator to:
Prepare and serve food.
Provide quality customer service.
Maintain a clean, safe, hygienic and healthy work environment in keeping with health regulations.
Assisting the Community Development Officer of Food Service Supervisor with other tasks as directed.
Ensure meals are delivered within the directed time frame
Your attention to detail and a desire for order and sparkle will be assets in this role, as will your upbeat and friendly attitude. You will exhibit a professional image of the service and display professionalism and integrity at all times. You will listen carefully and acknowledge and refer concerns, issues or queries to the Community Development Officer and you will be able to provide accurate information to the community.
Qualifications and experience requirements for the Role
Experience in customer service desirable
Good understanding of hygiene is essential.
Experience in preparing food and condiments desirable
Relevant qualifications as required ie Food Handling Certificate
Mandatory requirements of the Role
Complete TSA’s Volunteer Registration, Induction and training as required
Roster & Time Commitment
Fridays and the 1st Sunday of the month
The successful candidate will be supported with induction and training to succeed in the role.
