Patient support roles are currently available in a range of areas across The Prince Charles Hospital, such as the Geriatric Evaluation and Management Unit (GEM), Cognitive Assessment and Management Unit (CAM) and Palliative Care Services.

These roles includes duties such as engaging with patients one on one with conversation and activities, and encouraging patients to participate in group activities.

These roles are likely to appeal to someone who has great people skills, patience, a good sense of humour and initiative. It would be helpful to have experience with or an understanding of dementia and older people.
