Job Description Summary

A volunteer with our Community Visitors Scheme provides companionship and friendship to residents at one of our local Aged Care facilities within The Hills and Parramatta areas. Volunteers with Community Visitors Scheme are matched to a resident according to their shared interests, cultural backgrounds and location.

Time commitment –

1 hour per fortnight

Role tasks/requirements

. Visit to meet individual residents as directed by CVS Coordinator

· Undertake activities that are appropriate to the resident. This may include listening to music together, playing cards or board games or simply having a chat over a cup of coffee

Mandatory Requirements:

. Police Check

. Flu & Covid Vaccinations

Preferred qualifications/skills/experience

. Demonstrated empathy with community members and older people

· Experience working as part of a team environment is highly regarded
