Scientology Melbourne runs a volunteer tutoring program to assist refugee children with their school work. A lot of their parents don't speak fluent English and are limited in their ability to help their children with their homework. Therefore the Homework Club was established!

The ages of children that need tutoring ranges from Prep-Year 12 and covers all types of subject. When we enlist a new volunteer, we find out from you what subjects you are comfortable working with, and what ages. We will try to match you up with a child that fits that category to the best of our ability.

The tutoring sessions are done almost exclusively over Zoom now. However, if you would prefer to do this in person, you can still ask us about this.

To participate as a volunteer tutor you will need a current Victorian Working With Children Check (free for volunteers) and be able to connect with the kids using Zoom. We can help you to obtain one of these easily.

The first interview will be conducted in person so you must be prepared to come and see us in Ascot Vale to begin.
