Volunteer Events Coordinator
Volunteering Redlands IncFun Farm supports teenagers and adults with disabilities and their families, friends and carers, to engage in experiences and opportunities for skill development, connection and fun.
Fun Farm embraces the social model of disability - they aim to create social change that allows people with disabilities to participate in society on an equal basis with others.
Fun Farm is a recently established Redlands not-for-profit with impressive goals. They are recruiting a volunteer/s who can assist with coordinating events.
Do you have some events coordination experience? Would you like to volunteer with a local community organisation that supports people with disability to achieve their goals?
Key responsibilities include:
- administration tasks (including communicating with attendees)
- assistance in organising events, including developing run sheets
- assist in setting up, helping out at and packing up events
- be a team player.
This role will suit a person who has some experience/skills in coordinating events and who has some time to spare and would like to volunteer their time and skills.
Role requirements include:
- be available for 4-6 hours per month
- have good computer skills
- gain an understanding and commitment to organisational vision and values
- have well developed communication and interpersonal skills
- have the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders, including vulnerable clients with complex needs
- have well developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
- be able to handle challenges and problem solve.
