Reports to: Communication Coordinator

Direct reports: None

Location: Must be based in Melbourne as attendance at events to record and create content will be occasionally required. The team works remotely using Google Workspace, telephone and other digital platforms to undertake their roles.

Term: 2-4 hours per week

Salary: This is a volunteer role

About Yogahood Australia
Yogahood Australia is a non-profit yoga service organisation dedicated to bringing the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga to at-risk and underserved communities across Australia. Our vision is to empower individuals through yoga, fostering peace and hope in their lives.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Communications Coordinator to develop the social media strategy.
  • Create and curate engaging content for various social media platforms to grow our follower base and drive engagement.
  • Attend events and produce live social media content.
  • Maintain a unified brand voice across all social media channels.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends and best practices.
  • Interact with users, responding to messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics to inform strategy.
  • Participate in quarterly team meetings (a mix of virtual and in-person but not compulsory).

Experience and Skills:

  • Passion for social media and proficiency with major platforms and management tools.
  • Proficiency in video and photo editing tools and digital media formats.
  • Personal experience or practice with yoga (desirable).
  • Interest or experience in the not-for-profit sector (desirable).
