Training

All new volunteers have an online induction about The Orangutan Project and how we work. All new volunteers also need to take our online training focusing on how to talk about The Orangutan Project, threats to orangutans, and our impact. Depending on your interests and role, we can also provide training in event coordination and team management.

Time required

Volunteers can be involved as little or as much as they would like. We ask that each volunteer commit to managing or attending one event or stall per month.

Reimbursement

Some volunteers will be reimbursed for event and market costs according to our Reimbursement Policy.

Requirements

Working with Children Check

If your volunteering involves working in schools, you will need to provide a current Working with Children Check. If you are planning to manage stalls and events, you should have a car and current drivers' licence.
