Volunteering Coffs Harbour Inc is the umbrella organisation for the Coffs Harbour Neighbourhood Centre, Coffs Coast Volunteering, the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, Be Connected Digital Programs and the Coffs Coast Community Drug Action Team. The organisation promotes community connection and well-being through building community capacity and life-long learning, friendship and support. We are seeking individuals who can contribute to continuing our vision by supporting the governance of this thriving community-led organisation. Skills in Human Resources and Recruitment particularly welcome although not essential Previous Board experience is not required, although an understanding of the community service sector an advantage. Accounting and or Legal background desirable

RELEVANT INFORMATION: The interested applicant will be required to attend monthly board meetings and contribute to the discussion and actions associated with board meetings. Mentoring will be provided by existing board members. You will work with an existing team of board members and be responsible for governing a range of projects and a diverse team of paid staff and volunteers. You will work with the board to oversee the governance of Volunteering Coffs Harbour Inc ensuring its legal and financial obligations are met and that the organisation is sustainable. You will work with the team to develop and support the vision and values of the organisation as determined by a recent Strategic Planning process.
