The Friendship Club provides a positive environment to assist carers of aged and socially isolated persons living in the City of Onkaparinga.

This low level day respite program operates Monday 9am-3pm and Thursday 9am-3pm.

The volunteer role involves support, supervision and interaction with program participants.

This is the opportunity to engage with a diverse range of people, with various health & mobility issues.

Duties:

• Encourage participant’s to maintain and increase their physical fitness
• Supervision of participants
• Provide emotional & physical support where appropriate
• Encourage social interaction between participants.

• Must be physically fit and willing to assist a client

Training provided: dementia & manual handling.

Screening Required: DHS Aged and Disability (City of Onkaparinga can provide)
