The Volunteer General Hand will perform a variety of tasks including:
- Meet and greet new customers and guide them through the return & earn process;
- Provide customers with excellent experience;
- Receive and process donated bottles and cans;
- Perform general warehousing tasks; and
- Keep the warehouse clean, tidy, whilst maintaining safe work practices.
The volunteers we are seeking will ideally:
- Be a people person – welcoming, encouraging and positive;
- Be willing to work within the ethos of the St Vincent de Paul Society;
- Be respectful of others and flexible in their attitude to work and the team;
- Be able to take direction and contribute positively to the overall running of the Return & Earn Centre.
