Our Vinnies shops are a well-established and much-loved part of the Aussie retail landscape. Aside from being an op-shop mecca for fans of all things quality and thrift, the shops generate revenue for our broad range of services supporting the community.
The Volunteer Role
The Retail Volunteer will perform a variety of tasks including:
- Providing customers with an excellent shopping experience;
- Sorting and pricing donations;
- Assisting with product display;
- Processing sales through the Point of Sale (POS) cash register; and
- Keeping the store and sorting area tidy, whilst maintaining safe work practices.
No experience needed as in store coaching and training is provided. We welcome those with previous retail or hospitality backgrounds to share their experience.
Why join Vinnies as a volunteer

Your contribution as a volunteer will bring you a feeling of satisfaction knowing you are working for an organisation that makes a difference for those in need.
