The Australian Jazz Museum, at Koomba Park Wantirna, is looking for a volunteer “Digital Collection Manager”.

This is a senior position at the museum which would include:

• Managing the consolidation and documentation of the complete digital collection media. The digital collection is presently stored on the Museum Server, multiple stand-alone hard drives and Multiple CDs plus back-ups. • Managing the security and storage of the digital collection separately from the source materials. • Managing the completion of the Backup of the digital collection into Cloud Storage and the Museum Collection management System. • Managing the migration of the digital collection into the Virtual Museum for public access

The Museum is presently only open on Tuesdays from 10 am to 3pm but will be shortly returning to 2 to 3 days per week. However, much of this job can be done off site from home if desired.

A retiree with experience in middle or senior management, teaching or IT would be ideal.

Training will be provided. You would be joining a senior team of dedicated museum volunteers. It is interesting and satisfying work, particularly for music lovers.
