About Cancer Support Angels:

Established in 2019, Cancer Support Angels is a 100% volunteer-run organisation focused on uniting their network to establish support during some of the most difficult times in patients’ lives.

By providing care packages for cancer patients, facilitating support groups and providing financial support, the team can help bring a sense of comfort and relief to patients and their families.

The Opportunity:

Due to continual growth within the organisation, we here at Cancer Support Angels are looking for a Bunnings BBQ Coordinator volunteer to join our team. Key responsibilities will include:

• Liaising with various Bunnings store across Australia to book in Bunnings BBQ dates (all money raised will go towards our annual “Angels” day which takes place on the 1st December. Funds raised will ensure that we can provide cancer patients with financial support, helping make life that little bit easier at Christmas time).

• Engage with Bunnings BBQ Volunteers and helping plan the event

• Organising and processing Volunteers paperwork with Bunnings

• Support with other ad hoc general administration tasks

What we’re looking for:

The successful candidate(s) will demonstrate:

• Excellent organisational and event coordination skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Great attention to detail and multitasking skills
• A can-do attitude and the ability to build and maintain relationships

Of course, the desire to help others and contribute to the growth and success of our organisation will be paramount.

The role will be an unpaid volunteer opportunity and a time commitment of between 3-5 hours a week will be required. We also ask that volunteers are able to commit to a timeframe of at least 6 months in the role – although we hope that you’ll want to stay with us for much longer!
