The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of MS Plus Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme.

MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program. Volunteer visitors share stories, go for stroll, have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. This volunteer role brings mutual reward for both the recipient of visits and the volunteer.

Would you like to visit an older person in an Aged Care Home and make a new friend? Have you got some time and conversation to share?

"I am seeking a female volunteer visitor and to make a new friend. I enjoy reminiscing about times past, my life in Sweden. I am an avid gardener - orchids are my favourite. I also enjoy painting and reading. It would great to have a new friend to have a cuppa and chat with, go for a short walk or perhaps enjoy a creative activity together." Barb*

You need to be caring, reliable and be willing to commit to fortnightly connections/ visits/for a minimum of 12 months.
