Well, they are looking for someone who has a passion for food and enjoys working with and directing a team.

As the Volunteer Kitchen Team Leader, you will lead a team of kitchen volunteers in the:

• planning
• shopping
• preparation
• and serving of a community lunch each fortnight whilst adhering to safe food practices.

You will also be able to demonstrate sustainability & environmental practices by composting kitchen waste.

You will already have an understanding of safe food practices that will have you hygienically and safely preparing and storing food and drinks.

• good communication skills
• good food knowledge
• an ability to problem solve
• an ability to work under minimal supervision
• an ability to lead a team, using delegation of tasks and relating well to people of diverse backgrounds well
