Some of the responsibilities of volunteers would include:

*Representing South Australia, providing direction for disembarking and embarking cruise passenger to local transport, shore excursions and check in areas.

*Providing visitor information to advise passengers what they can do during their day in Adelaide, handing out brochures and reviewing maps.

*Setting up directional signage, outdoor seating, banners and bunting in the terminal space.

*Supporting the SATC site manager with any ad hoc requirements at the terminal including pack down at end of day.

*Providing a warm and exciting welcome for passengers who may be visiting South Australia for the first time!

Key requirements:

Volunteers must:

Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude for welcoming cruise passengers. Be over 18 years of age. Be able to speak and read English language fluently. Have general knowledge about Adelaide and surrounding regions (don’t worry we will provide guides and training sessions). Attend a training session before the season commences (August/September). Provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination, as this environment can be considered a high-risk setting with large crowds of people. Be generally fit and active as there are physical requirements for setting up banners, chairs and standing for long periods of time. Able to work onsite from as early as 6.00 am and as late as 7.00 pm. Breaks will be given as required. *Fulfill roster commitments for a variety of shifts. Preferred available dates will be discussed.
