Volunteers are valued in our organisation. Join a wonderful team of volunteers and support the great service our team provide to clients. You will make friends, be part of a team and make a difference to the lives of others. Cockburn Care volunteer Kitchen Hands assist the cook to prepare meals for the social club members. Meals are provided to help meet nutritional requirements and to provide a natural opportunity for meaningful and enjoyable social engagement.

Key Tasks Assist the Cook to follow the food plan and maintain FoodSafe standards Report health safety or food safety concerns to the Cook or Coordinator Help to cook and present nutritious meals Interact daily with members and staff, enhancing the meal experience and seeking feedback Enable independence for members Take responsibility for dishwashing and kitchen cleaning

This role is ideal for someone with good physical fitness, genuine interest in working with Seniors and People with disability, excellent interpersonal skills, good communication skills including the ability to listen and communicate with people who experience communication difficulties.

Cockburn Care volunteers will be provided with the following training: Induction including Food plan and OSH Annual Food Safety training Annual Manual Handling training Annual Infection Control training *Disability training
