While age and disability may reduce some people’s capacity to get out and about, our volunteers help make that possible for them to stay home and maintain their independence. By delivering nutritious meals, social interaction and a friendly check of a client’s wellbeing, we help people live the lives they choose. We are looking for someone to provide home delivered meals to home and community (HACC) target group including frail aged and people with disabilities and their careers.

• Pleasant and caring • Physically active • Able to follow safety and hygiene procedures at all times • Able to work as a team member • Reliable •• Photo ID and Safety Vests to be worn whilst delivering meals • Check you have the correct number of bags for number of clients • Load eskies and containers into your car (ensure boot is kept clean) • Do not leave meals if client is not home • Ring the appropriate outlet to inform Client Service Officer • Meals may be left with neighbours by prior arrangement • Volunteers are to be clean and neatly dressed • Notify of any illness that may compromise food safety or client health A sense of humour would be a bonus! • Advise Volunteer Program Co-ordinator of any issues or concerns regarding volunteering • Advise Client Services Officer of any issues or concerns regarding clients • Eskie tags and ice must be removed once back at outlet. • Any returned meals please let Client Service Officer know when you arrive back to outlet.
