Administrative Duties

Plans menus, orders & purchases ingredients required from suppliers or food bank. Ensures receipts & invoices are processed according to current requirements. Keeps to budget & reports to Corps officer on progress. Oversee practicalities of day-to-day operation which may include set up rooms & pack up on completion or attending excursions with team. Monitor team performance & report on metrics. Provide quality support to site manager/Corps officer. Up to date information on the programs is delivered for auditing/ planning purposes. Assisting site Manager/Supervisor with other tasks as directed. Confidentiality is maintained at all times. Ensure volunteer training & details are up to date. Build relationships with suppliers

Support to the Team

Lead the Mission Volunteer Food Services team to meet daily outcomes Meals delivered within the directed timeframe & appropriate customer service delivery Clean & hygienic kitchen & surroundings in keeping with health regulations Provide encouragement to team members, including communicating team goals & identifying areas for new training or skill checks Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture. Set clear team goals, communicate with teams about their performance. Delegate tasks & set deadlines. Discover training needs & provide coaching. Listen to team member feedback & resolve any issues or conflicts. Recognise high performance & reward accomplishments. Plan & organise team building activities. Engage with & actively support the welfare of the Team you lead.

Provide Quality Service

Exhibiting professional image of the organisation, displaying professionalism & integrity at all times. Meals delivered within the directed timeframe & appropriate customer service delivery Clean & hygienic kitchen & surroundings in keeping with health regulations Contribute to creating a positive & caring atmosphere for those attending at all times so that participants feel welcomed & are keen to return. Planning, development & production of activities including rostering. Accurate information provided to customers. Meet the needs & expectations of the attendees/clients. Refer people to appropriate Salvation Army services when required. Listen carefully, & acknowledge & meet & /or refer concerns, issues or queries to Manager/Senior Corps Officer ensuring complaints from individuals are responded to in a courteous manner & in a timely way.

Financial Management, Maintain Petty Cash & Client Personal details

Petty cash tin is appropriately maintained & balances at all times. Processing credit card transactions. Payment of invoices & reconciliation. Ensure confidentiality of client information & personal details are maintained at all times.

Maintain a Safe & Healthy Environment

Immediately report any health & safety concerns, notifiable incidents & near misses, to Senior Team Leader & ensure any hazards are controlled until rectified. Ensure hazard, incident & accident form is completed when required in a timely manner. All volunteers are to be mindful of their own health & to take care of the health & safety of others. Volunteers are required to comply with all TSA work, health & safety policies & procedures as applicable to their workplace.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements for the Position

Experience in relevant field highly regarded. Experience in leading & mentoring teams in a food services environment. Relevant qualifications as required ie Food Handling Certificate. Experience in administration, use of Microsoft Word & Excel & customer service preferred. Good communication skills, both written & verbal.

Complete The Salvation Army (TSA) Mission Volunteer registration, induction & training - TSA is a ChildSafe workplace. Integrity checks as required for the role.
