With your assistance as a mini-bus driver, elderly residents living at HammondCare Darlinghurst aged care home will enjoy short outings as you drive them around the local community.

As the bus is a 10 seater, anyone with a current Australian C class drivers license and five years good driving history can volunteer. We will provide training on driving the bus as well as orientation and ongoing support from an on-site volunteer coordinator.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
