People Who Care (Inc)
Logo for People Who Care (Inc)

Karen would appreciate a visitor to spend time once a week chatting over a cuppa, or playing a game such as scrabble or chess. If you are looking to make a difference in your local community this could be a rewarding opportunity for you.

If you have the ability to communicate sensitively with elderly people and an hour a week to spare, this could be a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in your local community.

The Community Visitor Scheme is a Federal Government initiative established to promote links between people living in an aged care facility and their local community. The aim of the scheme is to improve residents' quality of life for those who have limited family, cultural and social contact and may be at risk of social isolation.

Volunteers will be required to have a current Influenza and Covid 19 vaccination or be willing to get one. A mask and a negative Rapid Antigen Test is currently a requirement for entry to aged care facilities. RATs will be provided by the facility
