Ambassadors-Meals on Wheels

The Meals on Wheels Ambassador Program provides an opportunity for students to discover potential career pathways in the Not For Profit Sector. As an innovative organisation, Meals on Wheels SA is always seeking to improve the services we provide. By engaging in small projects you will work closely with Meals on Wheels staff to help us achieve our strategic goals. Current projects include supporting and assisting in the development of our social connection program, My WISE Choice and assisting to promote our services and volunteering opportunities.
We aim to provide you with a real world opportunity through which you can develop professional skills and your leadership potential.

Requirements

Covid-19 vaccination
National Police Certificate

Time commitment is approximately 1-2 hours per week. All applicants will need to provide evidence of Covid Vaccination status and a current Police Clearance. For those without a Police Clearance we can provide this service free of charge. Please Note: * It’s important that organisations continue to monitor and follow the advice and guidelines of both State or Territory, and Federal Governments in relation to the latest COVID-19 requirements. * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance). * Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
