Event Coordinator

This is a perfect role for someone with great organisational skills who loves meeting like-minded people and wants to do something to help wildlife. Would be extra great if you lived near Mount Barker (where our storage unit is).

Key Activities:

Collect key/security for venue and bump in Coordinate helpers on the day Transport Rescue/Care kits, any other required equipment, from Mount Barker storage to and from event. Manage membership payments and sales Send report to Treasurer with summary of sales Assist with bump out if possible

We have 2 more training events on in July and August which would be great training for you. 16 Jul - Introduction to Baby Birds and 13 August Wildlife Rescue 101

Transport equipment between SOWFI storage unit in Mount Barker to training venues and return each event. *Please note: It’s important that organisations continue to monitor and follow the advice and guidelines of both State or Territory, and Federal Governments in relation to the latest COVID-19 requirements. * As each organisation provides different levels/types of insurance, volunteers are reminded to check with the organisation as to the type of insurance provided for volunteers (e.g. Voluntary Workers Personal Accident Insurance). * Best practice volunteer involvement recommends that a volunteer role should not be more than 15-16 hours per week.
