About this Opportunity:

Become a volunteer with the Department for Child Protection. As a volunteer you will be supporting and assisting children. Tasks may include but not limited to:

  • Transporting children and Young People
  • Individual or group support- assisting in activities such as craft, music or outdoor events
  • Skill development such as sharing a particular skill, for example how to shop for food or clothing

We are always interested in hearing ideas for new ways our volunteers can assist. Volunteering is a two-way process.

As a Volunteer you will be provided with:

  • Orientation, Training and ongoing support
  • Reimbursement for Mileage to and from DCP office (Government vehicles are used for Volunteer tasks and as a Volunteer you are covered by our Indemnity insurance.

As a volunteer we ask you to be reliable and flexible. To be available for a reasonable amount of time, this may be weekly or fortnightly, weekdays & or weekends. We appreciate any time you are able to give and will work around your availability.

  • Working With Children Checks are required and you Volunteer Coordinator will assist you with this. The WWCC will be no cost to you.
