Key Responsibilities • Ensure safe and timely loading and unloading of food eskies at the Food Services
Distribution Centre. • Ensure the food delivery volunteers are wearing their safety vests and parking in the
correct loading bay. • Monitor and restrict the parking at the loading bays to one vehicle at a time. • Ensure drivers are aware of their surroundings to avoid an accident or incident and have their hazard lights on. Skills Required: • Punctual and reliable • Ability to give clear instructions • Good communication and observation skills • Respect for our diverse community • Respect in all interactions • Ability to work as part of a team and independently • Ability to take directions from staff • Awareness of safety issues • Adhere to safe Food Handling practices • Maintain client and organisation confidentiality • A minimum commitment of 3 months is preferred • Satisfactory police check - at Council expense • Fully vaccinated against Covid 19 • Current Working with Children Check – at no cost • Adhere to the Occupational Health and Safety practices. All volunteers with Council must complete • Volunteer application form • Working with Children Check • Police Check • Provide evidence of COVID vaccinations.
