The Storeroom Assistant will be responsible for the following activities:

• Sorting donated goods such as towels, blankets, food and equipment and distributing these to the appropriate areas around the Burwood East site, including the Animal Care Centre and Clinic
• Sorting donations for re-sale at the RSPCA Op Shops
• Keeping the store room in a state of general tidiness, this may include the occasional sweep or vacuum

To be successful in this role, the volunteer will possess the following necessary skills and attributes:

• Attention to detail and an ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• General fitness, physical strength and the ability to handle sizeable goods in a safe manner. Must be able to manage 10kg loads and stand for an extended period of time.
• Flexibility and willingness to assist in the Laundry during peak times
